In this inform, I will deal with the organization part, firstly about how the team welcomed us and how they really well prepared our week.
Firstly I want to say that the team composed by Mister Ron Morris and Christine Dufourq-Brana welcomed us really well. From the first moment we entered the school they do all they can to make us feel well and they succeeded.
In the first day, and despite the fact that it was hard to find the school we finally arrived at the school thanks to some very friendly students. So a student guided us to Christine’s office. She presented her and explained us that we will have a meeting to plan what we will do all the week long. And because we arrived one hour too early (as Ron say often : don’t be on time, be early) we waited for the meeting in the waiting room.
Then during the meeting Ron explained us the rules of the school, he wanted us to be respectful, be active elements in the classes, and of course enjoy our week in London quoting Samuel Johnson “when a man is bored of London he’s bored of life”. And during the week he give us some advice for instance he advised us to visit some museum.
Afterward, Christine presented us the school, dealing with the different school and how they allow students from 15 schools of the Inseec Group to come to London and attend courses during variable durations. She gave us our schedule of the week. It allow us to discover the English way of life that is to say starting the day at 9:00am and ending at 4:00pm with 3 hours lasting classes.
During all the week they helped us when we needed it, for instance when we wanted to log on the internet we asked them for using a computer and they generously accepted. They even nicely gave us a card which allowed us to enter and leave the building freely. Even the professors were really welcoming they tried to integrate us as possible as it was.

During this trip, we had a program to attend classes.

Monday 29th April:

In the morning, we visited the premises of INSEEC and we met the team who looked after us all week. Then, in the afternoon we attended the class “Effective writing” with the PBC students. In this class, students were divided into groups, so we integrated one of them. We had to find the advantages and disadvantages of the different means of communication (like e-mails, memos, social networks…) in a company, and to make an example of a memo and an e-mail. This work was interesting, especially because we were in little groups so everyone from the group could get ideas, and the students were very nice.

Tuesday 30th April:

We attended an advertising class in the morning, with other PBC students. The aim of this class was to find ideas of adverts for some companies (Waitrose, Topshop, Waterstormes), to reach a maximum number of people. This class showed us that creativity is very important in this field. Some examples of ideas which were found: a fashion show (for Topshop), a commercial, and an application for android. In the afternoon, we had a test in “Effecting Writing”, which deals with that we did yesterday.

Wednesday 1st May:

In the morning we attended a Marketing class, with the SPIRITS students. The students had to create a new Tequila brand and do the entire marketing concept. They presented it and, with teacher’s help, we thought about what they could change or improve. That was very interesting and enriching because we could be in a concrete case; we had to think about ideas about the advert, about what kind of Tequila the consumer would like to drink and to be careful with the budget which is the most important in a marketing concept. In the afternoon, INSEEC allowed us to attend a conference directed by the former Scotland Yard chief. He told us about his work and gave us some secrets about the management used.

Thursday 2nd May:

In the afternoon we went to Stratford with the PBC students to see the Olympic Stadium of 2012. Its design is revolutionary with the temporary structure which will reduced from 80 000 to 25 000 seats after The Olympic Games.

Friday 3rd May:

In the morning, we attended the Marketing class again. So we could see the improvement of the product. The final product could really be on the market but there were a problem with the budget. The second part of the class was about advertising and communication, more precisely, the behavior of consumers. In the afternoon, we attended an English class. It dealt with idioms. We learnt equivalents of French idioms in English, and also new expressions that will be useful for us in the future.

We immediately get on well with the students who were very welcoming, like the teachers. We could participate in class and that was easy to become integrated. Also, all Londoners were very friendly, when we searched our way. All thanks to INSEEC which allowed us to come in London, and also to Mrs Lannes and Mrs Eparvier. Also thanks to the team who welcomed us and looked after us
